| Made coil clips from Radio Shack alligator clips. By the time I hammered them out they became a bit brittle. Next time I will use thin copper or brass sheet and wrap it around the wire and solder it in place. | Soldered clips in place with cardboard insulators to keep the coil turns from shorting. The single thickness of brass make these clips prone to break. |

| Two closest caps are from a small Johnson Matchbox. The circuit has been described by Cebik. It is basically an Anneke tuner, which has much more range than the Johnson Matchbox. There is a third capacitor in the unbalanced circuit going to the radio and more taps to that coil. | The coils were wound on forms using 12 gage wire. |

| These are the jumpers for the input coil. Changing taps is quite easy with this arrangement. | Note that the input coil is placed over the output coil, and that the output coil turns are spread out in back of the input coil to make tapping it easier. |

| I have now made the tuner more symmetrical for the balanced (antenna) side of the circuit. The coil is now parallel to the two output capacitors just as in the schematic. This tuner works very well. I have tuned my 450 Ohm ladder line fed 80 meter dipole from 2.3 to 290 MHz. Transmission line losses are less than 2 dB. | Elecraft K3 and a link coupled tuner. Doesn't get any better than that. |
