A NVIS Antenna Idea (2007)

These antenna supports give you a ten foot height.  If they are guyed at the top they at quite stiff.

These are the big stakes available at Home Depot.  I think they are 14 inches long.

Only one side was trimmed on a table saw until it just slid into the PVC pipe.  The two untrimmed fins were held against the rip fence

The narrow ring was cut from the black end piece and glued in such a way to act as a bearing when slid into the 1 inch thin wall PVC

The PVC pipe assembly at the top extends the height about two feet.  The vertical piece has a thin wall piece at the bottom that slides over the painter pole.  The upper piece is a two foot long thick wall piece of PVC pipe that extends above the eight foot painter pole.  They are connected together with a coupler.
