House - New Paint Job - Labor Day, 2008

	Old colors.... yucky green.  Wall will be knocked out , window removed, and door replaced and centered.  Side wall color is new.
	Morning sun.
May 30, 2010 - Originally, we had a double door on the right side and a narrow cheap looking window on the left side (see fourth photo on this page).  We decided to replace everything.  The center door has fiberglass exteriors.  The windows are very special order.  They are impact resistant to eliminate the need for storm shutters and also tempered since they are next to a door.  It took six weeks to get them.  We had to pull out several studs and relocate them in order to perfectly center the door.	Framing complete, windows installed.

June 11, 2010 - Here I've flattened the plastic window flanges using extra roofing nails and then covered the flanges with tar tape which is used for waterproofing.	June 13, 2010 - Here all the Hardie planks and Hardie trim have been installed.  This material is essentially cement board.  It is very hard and requires special cutting blades.  Next I need to caulk all the joints with paintable silicone caulk and then prime everything.
June 14, 2010 - Caulk has been applied to all holes and joints.  I used a lot of finish nails at the bottom edges of the Hardie planks and these needed to be counter sunk.
June 15, 2010 - Everything has been primed and the ceiling piece of trim has been painted with the accent color.	June 15, 2010 - Everything is painted.  We are trying to figure out a color for the door.
August 23, 2010 - PROJECT COMPLETE!   Insulation installed, wall sheet rocked, taped and spackled, shutters installed, special door and baseboard trim pre-painted and installed.  Old ceramic tile was too short at location of previous door so six tiles were replaced.  Tile re-grouted.	Rosette.

Tuesday, September 9, 2008, 10 AM.  Looking north on Kennedy causeway just before Intercoastal Waterway toward Port Aransas.  The wall cloud is still visible.  By the time I realized I had a camera, and stopped, and took the photo, the wall cloud was quickly becoming obscured by rain between me and the cloud.  However, the funnel is still visible.  A minute previous the funnel was a distinct straight line  to the horizon.	enhanced contrast.
