January 2010. - A new RMS Packet station located at the Driscoll Children's Hospital in Corpus Christi is up and running.  The Call sign is W5DCH-10 with a W5DCH-5 digipeater on 145.05 MHz.  The antenna is 5 stories up and is on the hospital's emergency power system.  They have plans to integrate HF PACTOR 3 with it to support HF forwarding in the event of an Internet failure.  Our compliments and gratitude to James Claus N6LSP for getting the station up and running and to Linda Shell W5LSS with the DCH for arranging for this great asset, and the other DCH hams that were involved in this effort.

January 2010 - Because of the efforts of Monty Woolf, AE5GM, Texas Navy MARS Assistant State Director and the South Texas Amateur Radio Club, the USS Lexington, became the first museum ship to become a MARS special event station with the call sign NNN0LEX.
